I make promises to myself every year and I don’t keep them. Every time we go to Zelenogradsk, Svetlogorsk and neglect the rest of the region. And in vain, other towns of the Kaliningrad region are no less beautiful than tourist magnets on the coast.

On the weekend we decided to visit a very picturesque place called Fischdorf. It is located in the Polessky district. The route passes through the small town of Guryevsk.

Guryevsk has become practically another district of Kaliningrad. It is comfortable here, pleasant to live in, mostly the city is built up with low-rise buildings, very green and calm with a provincial flavor.

Most of all, I like the park of sensitive development here, which is surrounded by firs and pines, there are more than five hundred of them here. If you have children, be sure to visit this place! Then we head to Polessk.

My seven-year-old son rented an electric scooter, put on a helmet and drove along scenic trails. I was happy with the ride, although I said that I did not have enough speed because I was riding a more powerful scooter at home. Then we played hockey, football, and archery. All these possibilities are available on a vast territory. We finished the day at the spa by taking a dip in the outdoor pool. Even my daughter jumped into the pool, despite the rather cool weather in October.

There is a gourmet restaurant serving German cuisine. And, by the way, there is also a children’s menu here! Yes, you heard right. So don’t worry, your kids won’t stay hungry!

In general, what I can say is that Fishdorf is a place that evokes a smile on a universal scale and leaves warm memories. The Fischdorf country complex, ladies and gentlemen, where both adults and children are delighted.
